![]() ![]() After finally defeating Hades, Zagreus steps foot into the outside world, but he quickly learns that, like his father, he's been cursed to remain in the Underworld forever, and leaving it for too long would kill him. The entirety of the first Hades follows Zagreus as he attempts to break free from the constraints of his home and his father. Seeing Zagreus sit on the throne of the Underworld would also be an interesting direction to take his character in. It also seems likely that Zagreus would charge Melinoe with hunting down Chronos and stopping him before he reaches Olympus, just like he would have done if he didn't need to take control of his father's kingdom. ![]() Zagreus will almost definitely appear in some form in Hades 2, with the character being one of the most memorable protagonists in recent years, and it makes sense that players would run into him as the stand-in leader for the Underworld. If that's the case, then the Underworld would be left without a ruler, and it could be down to Zagreus to pick up the crown after his father's disappearance. One interesting detail that Supergiant has mentioned is that Chronos may have captured Hades during his initial escape. Chronos is now presumed to be marching toward Olympus, where he plans to get revenge on his children. Melinoe's training comes to an abrupt end when Chronos, the Titan father of Hades, Zeus, and many other Olympians breaks free from his Underworld prison. As mentioned up top, players will take control of Melinoe, who is currently being trained by the goddess of witchcraft Hecate alongside fellow mythological figure Nemesis. So far, just one trailer has been released for Hades 2, and it doesn't give away too much in regard to the game's plot. ![]()
